MINING IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
HILLGROVE, Sunday.

The stopes in the Baker’s Creek mine do not show any change. At the Eleanora mine a trial crushing from the east lode will be commenced next Wednesday. In the Sunlight the whole of the works are making satisfactory progress. The No. 6 level has now been connected with the No. 2 winze. At the back of the level there is a good body of stone giving fair prospects of gold. At the West Sunlight the reef west of the shaft off No. 8 level is being worked in two stops. West of the winze the lode is 2ft. wide. In the Baker’s Creek Consols they are stoping at the back of No. 1 level on Smith’s reef. The lode is about 6in. wide, and is carrying fair gold.
