CHILD LOST IN BUSH. GUYRA. Sunday. Jean Pearson, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Pearson, of Guyra, had an unenviable experience yesterday, when she became sep- arated from a family picnic party in the bush at The Pinch, between Guyra and Armidale. Jean, her mother, and other members of the party went in search of ferns. Jean set out alone to return to her father, who had re- mained by the car. Some time later the rest of the family returned, and were surprised to find that Jean had not reached the car. Sergeant Unwin, of Guyra, with a party, commenced a search. The child was found more than two miles away, making for Black Mountain. She was greatly distressed, know- ing that she was lost.
