Gold at Limbri

GOLD REEF AT SWAMP OAK CREEK.
TAMWORTH, Saturday.

Following assays of gold secured from an
area in the Limbri district, 17 miles from
Tamworth, and one mile from Limbri siding,
on Swamp Oak Creek, a company with a
nominal capital of £15,000, has been floated
to work the area. A shaft has been put
down 27 feet, and from the lode l8 inches wide
at the bottom, 3oz 2dwt of gold has been
secured. Samples of ore from the same
property assayed from 1 dwt 19 grains to 20 oz
1 dwt 19 grains.
