Voting at Inverell
Saturday 4 June 1898, The Sydney Morning Herald
INVERELL. Inverell.—The voting passed off without any special features. The local printing offices were besieged by anxious concourses of people. The only disturbance reported was between drunken men. One thing which militated against a big poll was the fact that many new polling booths were not properly advertised by the Government. The vote was not so large locally as was the case at the last election for delegates to the Convention.
