NEW ENGLAND COPPER-MINING.

GUYRA, Monday.

The Aberfoyle Copper-mining Company, which was recently floated In Sydney, with a capital of £15,000, has a number of practical miners from Cobar at work on the 160 acres of leases acquired on the Aberfoyle River. The party is at present at work on a lode of high-grade sulphide copper, and the prospects are excellent.

Mr. W. McKinlay and party are doing some good work on their copper claim at Ward’s Mistake. They are driving on the lode, which is 3ft wide and opening out, the ore showing the good average of 20 per cont. copper. The party have sent away three trucks from the Guyra railway station for treatment, the returns from which have been most encouraging.
