Safe blown open

DELUNGRA, Friday.
Delungra railway station was broken into early yesterday morning. The lock of the office door was cut out and the safe was blown open with gelignite.
The noise of the explosion was deadened with sheepskins and a bag of wheat. A small amount of cash and a cheque were stolen.
The police consider that the work was that of experienced safeblowers.
