ARMIDALE, Monday.
Bishop J. S. Moyes and Mrs. Moyes were accorded a civic reception to-day. Dr. Long, Bishop of Newcastle, and the Rev. Johnson, Dean of Newcastle, were present.
Bishop Moyes said that he would be pleased to take an active part in the civic life of the city, and also intended to play cricket. He remarked that he had taught his brother, the well-known cricketer, to play the game, but he did not claim to be so proficient.
This afternoon, Bishop Moyes and party attended a garden party in the beautiful grounds of “Booloominbah,” the home of Mrs. F. R. White. More than 1000 citizens were present, and speeches of welcome were given by representatives of all denominations.
