Girl Shot in Foot

Tuesday 30 April 1940, The Courier-Mail (Brisbane)

ARMIDALE, Monday.— Miss Dulcie Edwards, 15, of Dangarsleigh, was shot in the foot yesterday while out shooting with a friend. While her friend was extricating a jammed shell from his rifle, Miss Edwards’ rifle discharged, the bullet passing through her left foot. She was carried half a mile to her home, given first aid, and brought to a doctor in Armidale, and admitted to hospital.
