with one comment

[I’m currently collecting the names of Hotels in the Armidale area from these newspaper articles – many of the names now long since forgotten — Gordon].

Friday 10 September 1880, The Sydney Morning Herald

ARMIDALE.

THURSDAY.

At the adjourned inquest on the fire at Franey’s Hotel, a verdict to the effect that the building was maliciously and wilfully set on fire by some one unknown was returned.

The weather is very warm. There is no sign of rain.

  1. Hi Macalba,

The Armidale hotel thread is quite interesting. It would by wonderful if you could post your findings. It would be better if you could include a location for the hotels.
Your posts are very much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    (an old Armidale resident)
