SYDNEY. Monday Afternoon.
The Commercial Hotel, Armidale, has been destroyed by fire. The premises were insured for £1200. Mark Turner, the proprietor, has been arrested on a charge of arson. He was brought up to-day and remanded.

Alleged Incendiarism.
At the inquest on the fire at the Commercial Hotel, Armidale, the jury returned a verdict that the evidence threw suspicion on Mark Turner, the owner, and he was thereupon committed for trial.

Mark Turner has been sentenced to 6 years’ hard labor at Armidale for setting fire to his hotel with intent to defraud.
